Pride Continue to Fortify Their Offense with Re-signing of McManus

Boston, MA – The Boston Pride have announced the re-signing of tenacious forward Meghara McManus for her third season in Boston.

McManus, a 24 year-old Milton native, was selected by the Pride in the 2020 Premier Hockey Federation draft. In her two professional seasons, McManus has tallied 14 points in 24 games. During the 2021-22 season, McManus grew into an important rule in the circle, maintaining an impressive 45.7% FO percentage. McManus also totaled a +7 on the season, and was named to 2022 All-Star game. McManus is a two-time Isobel Cup champion, winning back-to-back titles with the Pride.

“I’m really excited to come back and play for Boston for my third season. I can’t wait to get back on the ice with my teammates and have another successful year.” said McManus. “Hope to see everyone at Warrior soon!’

McManus played her collegiate career at University of New Hampshire from 2016-20. In 140 collegiate games, McManus scored 84 points with 48 goals and 36 assists. During her senior year, McManus was awarded MVP of UNH’s women’s hockey program as she led the team in both goals and points.

Meghara is the Boston Pride’s third signing of the off-season, continuing in a line of elite forwards. The reign Isobel Cup champions look to build another bullet-proof line-up in hopes of capturing their fourth title.
