June 27th, 2021 (Boston, MA) - Today the Boston Pride announced the signing of Maddie Rigsby as General Manager for the 2022-23 season. Rigsby becomes the official fourth General Manager in franchise history after Hayley Moore, Karilyn Pilch, and most recently Danielle Larouco.

Rigsby originally hails from Missouri, came to Massachusetts originally to play for Becker College in Worcester. She put up an impressive .936 SV% and 2.5 GAA in 58 games played as a goalie, earning her the accolade of Second-Team All-CHC and a few Goalie of the Week recognitions. Rigsby first began working for the Pride as an Equipment Manager for two seasons from 2019-2021, where the Pride put up an impressive 23-1 record the first year and won the Isobel Cup the second year.

The Pride are looking forward to the skills and passion Rigsby brings to the table. “We’re thrilled to welcome Maddie back to The Pride. She has experience with the team and the league and we’re looking forward to having her lead us through what will be another exciting season.” Says team President Colleen Coyne.

As for Rigsby herself, she just can’t wait to get started. “I’m excited to be back in the great city of Boston and working for the Pride in this new capacity. I’m looking forward to working with (head coach) Paul Mara in this new role and working with (president) Colleen Coyne for the first time. I believe we’re putting together another championship team here, and I am itching to begin putting in all the work to keep making this team better and better to win our fourth Isobel Cup!”

Rigsby and the Pride look to continue the team’s impressive reign as they aim for their third straight Isobel Cup Championship in the season ahead.
