Nutter Joins the Boston Pride in Their Quest for The Cup
The Boston Pride are proud to partner with Nutter, the Boston-based law firm, inking a new corporate sponsorship with the firm.
In a historic moment, on the brink of the Pride’s national television broadcast debut, Nutter becomes a partner with the Pride. With a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and a deep-rooted tradition of giving back to the community, the Pride are elated to name Nutter as “The Official Law Firm of The Boston Pride.”
“Nutter wishes good luck to all players in the National Women’s Hockey League competing for the Isobel Cup; it has been a long road to reach this point,” said Jonathan Calla, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department. “We are proud to sponsor the Boston Pride and support the first-ever women’s professional hockey games to air on a major national cable network in the United States.”
Nutter’s dedication to strengthening communities through service and volunteerism painted a clear opportunity for a strategic alignment of values across the two organizations. Each year, Nutter proudly honors its commitment to spend three percent of the firm’s paying client billable hours on pro bono work. Nutter attorneys also engage in a wide variety of civic, charitable, educational, social, and political efforts, and hold leadership roles in numerous nonprofit organizations both in Greater Boston and across the United States.
“We are working hard to create a world where elite women’s hockey players can earn a living playing the game they love,” said Miles Arnone, Chairman of the Pride and an NWHL Governor. “Nutter shares our commitment to gender equity and we couldn’t be happier to have them support us on our mission.”
As the Pride prepares to take on the Toronto Six tonight, Friday, March 26th, at 5 pm for a single-elimination, semifinal contest on the quest for the Isobel Cup, they will do so with a new team behind them.
