BOSTON – The Boston Pride have signed University of New Hampshire forward Carlee Turner for the upcoming NWHL season. An outstanding all-zone forward who completed her collegiate career at UNH earlier this year as one of their captains, Turner joins a high-level roster of forwards with the Pride, who were 23-1 in the 2019-20 regular season.

“I'm beyond excited to continue my hockey career in the Northeast while joining an amazing group of players and staff at the Boston Pride,” said Turner, a native of Scottsdale, Arizona. “I am also very honored to help grow the great game of hockey, especially for all the little girls coming from my home state of Arizona.”

The 5-7 forward had 20-point seasons as a sophomore and senior at UNH. With 7 goals and 13 assists for 20 points in 34 games, Turner was fourth on the team in scoring last season, behind three players who were selected in the 2020 NWHL Draft: Meghara McManus and Taylor Wenczkowski (Boston), and Tori Howran (Connecticut).

Turner missed only one game in four years at UNH. In 140 games, she was 27-46-73. Prior to college, she developed at North American Hockey Academy (NAHA), where as a senior in 2015-16 she captained the U-19 team and was named JWHL Player of the Year.

“Carlee is an impressive skater with a great presence,” said Boston GM Karilyn Pilch. “She uses her size to command the play, and will undoubtedly add to our offensive production. We are thrilled to have Carlee joining the Pack, and look forward to all that she will bring to our team.”
