BOSTON – The Boston Pride have signed two more of their selections from the 2020 NWHL Draft: standout University of New Hampshire forwards Taylor Wenczkowski and Meghara McManus.

Wenczkowski was selected 18th overall in the draft in April. In 149 games in her UNH career between 2016-2020, the 5-7 forward had 42 goals and 40 assists for 82 points. In her senior season, she served as one of the team’s captains. Prior to college, Wenczkowski played for the Boston Shamrocks and was a member of the U.S. U-18 Select Team in 2013 and 2014.

“Taylor is incredibly skilled, competitive and driven,” said UNH coach Hilary Witt. “I am very proud of her accomplishments and excited to see her succeed in professional hockey with the Boston Pride.”

McManus, who was picked 29th overall by Boston in the draft, led New Hampshire in scoring in 2019-20 with 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points in 36 games. For her college career, McManus was 48-36-84 in 141 games. Before UNH, the 5-4 forward attended Dexter Southfield School and was captain of the hockey, soccer, and softball teams.

“Meghara gives everything she has to the game,” said Witt. “She scores goals, blocks shots, kills penalties and sees the game really well. I am very proud of her and know she will excel at the next level in the NWHL.”

The Pride have now finalized the signing of four of their six selections in the 2020 NWHL Draft. The team previously signed first overall pick Sammy Davis from Boston University and 12th overall pick Tereza Vanisova from the University of Maine.
